Trauma can create profound and lasting effects on individuals. My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, offering a safe and supportive environment for healing.
I utilize evidence-based techniques and practices grounded in trauma-informed care. My methods include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). These approaches are designed to help clients process traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and develop coping strategies.
I focus working collaboratively with clients to identify specific trauma-related issues, set achievable goals, and track progress throughout the healing journey.
Additionally, I emphasize the importance of self-care and resilience-building. Clients are encouraged to engage in activities that promote well-being outside of therapy. Healing from trauma is a gradual process that requires patience and commitment, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy technique designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. It involves guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, which are used while the therapist encourages the client to recall distressing memories. This process aims to reduce the emotional intensity of memories not only how they are stored in the brain, but also in the body and help you function better.
EMDR is primarily used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),but it can help with anxiety, depression, phobias, intense relationships, high stress jobs and complicated grief. By facilitating the reprocessing of traumatic memories, EMDR can help clients achieve a greater sense of emotional regulation and overall well-being.

At any age we need to learn how to naviagete relationships and often feel we need a therapist to help us with the complexities of the feeelings, confusion, and reactivity that can occur. With kids, teens and emerging adults this could be with family, friends and new expriences with romatic or work relationshsips that requires support. In adults, complicated family, social and work relationships are areas where I can work with clients to mantain boundaries, identify and discuss intense emotions and feelings, and help develop ways of interacting. This can be one of the hardest areas in our life, and we can utilize the time in therapy to improve.
